I offer talk therapy and mindful movement for people who need a space where they can feel safe, understood and able to explore life’s complexities. Without having to explain or perform, whilst also shaping the life they deserve. Especially for those used to holding a lot.
Hello, my name is Araba (she/her). I am a Black British-Ghanaian Social Worker and Yoga Teacher based in Vancouver, BC. I most often work with marginalised and/or racialised professionals and youth who are navigating societal pressures, transitions, identity, relationships, work and the emotional toll of life.
My approach is holistic and flexible. Some people come to talk, reflect, make sense of experiences and feel heard. Others come to be and move, to reconnect with their bodies, regulate their nervous systems and find steadiness through yoga and mindfulness. For many, it’s a combination.
I honour the different parts of us:
• Mind - through conversation, reflection, process and meaning-making
• Body - through yoga, movement and self-care
• Spirit - through community, faith, hope, prayer, meditation and nature
We will engage with only the parts you want and work together in a way that feels aligned, respectful and supportive of who you are.
If you’re looking for grounded, culturally and socially aware support that meets you where you are, you’re in the right place.

Registered Social Worker in BC, Canada and in England, UK. Yoga Teacher based in Vancouver, BC and global.
